Change from university of applied sciences to university?

Hey, I'll be attending a university of applied sciences and wanted to ask if I can transfer to a university after the first semester? Is this possible, even in the first semester?

If you want to apply for a second semester at a university in the same course of study after one semester at a university of applied sciences (I assume that you have the general higher education entrance qualification), you have two problems: Firstly, it is questionable whether your first semester at the university of applied sciences will be recognized at the university and secondly – if the university course has restricted admission and you therefore take this detour – there are usually also admission restrictions in the second semester at the university.

Well, you can't really change. If your high school grades are good enough, you can apply to your desired university and start again in the first semester. (24 in the summer semester)

You may already have courses that you can have credited. If I were you, I'd ask the university's student advisory service.

It's certainly possible. It just makes absolutely no sense to start at a university of applied sciences and then transfer to university after one semester.

That'll only cause you problems. It's better to chill out for a semester and go straight to university.
