Change footer but not page number?

Hello, I'm currently writing a paper and need to include my references in the footer. However, when I do this, it appears on all pages, even though it's only supposed to be on one. Conversely, when I follow online instructions, my page count is no longer what it was before, and there are, for example, two first pages. Does anyone know how this works?

You confuse footnote (that’s what you want) with footer.

Both are specifically defined regions at the lower edge, wherein the footnote is arranged separately by a line at the blade end but not in the foot-line region.

Below this is the footer area.

They are Footnotesin the Footer of the actual text are delimited by a transverse line.

In the actual footer, i.e. those with the page numbers, Footnotes nothing to search.
