Cat panting after a walk?

I'm taking my cat for a walk on a leash. She enjoys it; I don't force her! Anyway, we went for a longer walk today, and when we got home, she was panting like a dog. Her mouth was open, her tongue out, and she was breathing loudly. Is she just a little exhausted from the long walk, or should I be worried?

Exhausted, too warm, too little drunk… In the normal case, she should recover quickly, in the future you shouldn’t walk with her for so long.

It’s thirsty or it’s been too warm because of the effort.

She took the trains from the dog. Cats are simply not walkers. They sneak in free nature and they sit and watch every few meters. What you’re doing is animal torture, a cat is turned to the dog. Don’t come up with the idea of running next to the bike….
