Cat jumps on kitchen counter and stove?
How can you stop a cat from going into the kitchen? He keeps jumping on our stove and looking for food in the sink. He also knows he's not allowed to do that because he only does it when I'm not in the room. He just waited until I left the kitchen. I was gone for a second, and then I found him there. The kitchen door is usually too tight for that exact reason, but sometimes you forget to close the door.

We have clear taboo zones for our cats. Even with us the kitchen, the door is always closed and none of our 5 cats is allowed without accommodation. Surely you forget it and zack the cats use the open door shamelessly, laugh. I know. But ours are waiting on the window, or on the closet, and they're watching the birds outside the birdhouse.

There is the possibility to design the work area with aluminum foil or to design lemon slices, because cats do not like that much. Or you will get used to closing the door really consistently and always.
Or you're accepting that your cat jumps on the counter. Then just make sure that she can't burn herself at the stove or hurt herself at lying cutlery. For example, you can put a pot with cold water on hot hobs, then the cat can't slick and burn the paws.
