Cat has lung tumor?

Hi, I'm really depressed and sad right now. My 11-year-old cat often has trouble breathing when picked up. I love him so much, even though I've moved out and he lives with my parents, because they love him very much too. Today my parents took him to the doctor, and he said he has cancer, water in his lungs, and a huge tumor on his lung. He was given painkillers and cortisone. The doctor said he probably won't have long, and we can only observe him. Since he's still behaving normally and eating, we can only observe him. If things get bad, we'll go to the doctor, and they'll decide whether he should be put down forever. I'm so devastated… has anyone experienced something like this? How did it end? Did your cat suffer badly? How long did he last? Best wishes

Hello…I had to solve my beloved hangovers twice in a row, as both were ill with cancer. 😒

I was there as the veterinarian gave his infusion to fall asleep. For as long as I kept him in my arms and talked to him.I noticed that he was quite relaxed. Then he slept forever.A year later my second cat.🐱😒

Now both don't have to suffer.

I still miss both daily.

Let your cat go to the rainbowland🌈 there you are well lifted and look down at you. 🥰

I'm so sorry I know how you're suffering.

I'm so sorry and not so good.

You can never say how long he has been still and whether he suffers, it is always different.

But you should all sit together and talk about the situation even if it is not so pleasant. You should consider what is best for him and not necessarily for you. Sure you hang on him, but you don't want him to suffer for a long time. You also want to remember him in good and not that he could hardly move in the last few days, had hurt or the like, and whether it would not be the best to let him sleep in early. It may sound bad at the first moment, but for him it is best and a redemption for him. If his lung is already very beaten, small movements are already a good one, because it is pure and not beautiful for him.

We had done this with our hangover, we could have had it for longer through medicines, catheters & Co., but it would have been so great for him, and you would have been suffering only. But we didn't want to hurt him because we loved him.

If he's getting up, it's better not do it anymore. However, it would be more likely to be observed in weeks, because it would also be possible to note minor changes which could be serious and which could otherwise be overlooked.

Surely at the beginning you have a bad conscience and there is no matter what you do: Wait for it: is it right?; You can sleep in forever: was that the right decision? But that will lay down and with time it becomes easier.

Then make a few nice days and make it as easy as possible. if he likes on the couch/bed or the like, you can try to make a small ramp/buy so that he can easily get up if he likes it hard if you lift it up you should see how to make it easier. Our old cat we had bought a small dog staircase so he could get up and down to his favorite place without having to jump, because with it he had problems but with the stairs it worked wonderfully.

You don't let the cat die, but you let them sleep by veterinarian. My cat had a kidney tumor and I came over relatively quickly

Yes, ours lived two years with a fist thickness lung tumor.

Unfortunately died of a trombus
