Car Hifi – How to connect the front system with tweeter and midrange speakers correctly?
I would like some brief assistance.
I have a 4-channel amplifier in my car. The subwoofer is connected via a bridge. This leaves me with two channels left for my front system.
What's the best way to connect the tweeters and midrange speakers? Should I use a crossover? I've created a small diagram for this.
Strangely enough, there are hardly any crossovers on the market that divide the frequencies into midrange and treble.
Is there any other possibility, or
What would be the best way?
This is basically the classic approach, which I've pretty much always used as a baseline. Be careful with the subwoofer: The bridged channels must be able to handle the subwoofer's impedance. For example, if you have a 2-ohm woofer or two 4-ohm drivers connected in parallel (which also add up to 2 ohms), a standard 4-channel power amplifier won't be able to handle it. Typically, a bridged amplifier can only handle 4 ohms (loading each channel with 2 ohms). Remember to use the appropriate cable fuse for the power amplifier, no more than 30 cm from the battery terminal. And if the power amplifier is rated at more than 400 W RMS, insert a buffer capacitor in front of the power amplifier.
I think so.
