Car fuse, how does it work and can I use the one mentioned below?
Hello,
I'd like to install a fuse in front of my car amplifier (Crunch 800W) and was thinking about installing a car fuse to protect against short circuits ( https://www.reichelt.de/kfz-sicherung-megaoto-100-a-32-v-gelb-imaxx-mgp100-p229138.html ). But will it simply blow and I'll have to replace it? Is it suitable for my needs (I don't think 100 amps should be reached at 800W)?

no longer. I mean the 1000.4 of crunsh has 2 safeunegn a 25 ampere or something. Look what the end stage has to secure, and then take a bigger.
for the security you're looking out there is also the appropriate holder, which I would recommend so that you don't break away if the security comes somewhere and b.) doesn't break or break away from the security.
best regards, Anna
PS: I would also put the mass cable back to the battery to avoid mass grinding. the body is not as good as many believe. steel leads 7 times worse than copper and the carousel is usually welded together only at a few points.
Yes, automotive fuses are quite normal fuses. If the permitted current is exceeded long enough, a part intended for this purpose melts and interrupts the circuit.
At 12 V, 66.6 amperes would flow at a constant 800 W. A 100 A fuse would thus last.
And if I turn on the amplifier, I'd run over 100 amperes of current for a short time, or rather not?
clearly run about 70ampere over there and a 100erter holds this off.Only the battery does it not long with then gets dark
with safety should/must trigger them otherwise rises smoke on
OK
Depends on their maximum current. But if you have switched all 6 in parallel, then the already enough power should deliver in the short circuit that the fuse flies.
There are 6 20 AH lead batteries that should also trigger the fuse in a short circuit, aren't they?
