Canon Ae-1 Program triggers when “cocked”?
Hello, I got a used Canon AE-1 Program for Christmas. I've already shot a full roll with it, and everything worked fine.
Shortly after I loaded the second film and wanted to continue shooting, my camera stopped working. Or rather, I could press the shutter button normally, but it only released automatically when I pulled the cocking lever.
I've already replaced the battery and removed the film. Does anyone have any tips or can tell me if I'm doing something wrong?
Thank you very much!🤗
There’s gonna be something wrong with the trigger mechanism, that can happen quickly with old devices.
What exactly makes for the mistake can only tell you a person skilled in the art, in principle you have to take apart the complete camera. And because of the cost, it doesn’t really pay.
You can try to clean or replace the trigger magnet:

Okey thanks for the feedback I will try thank you!!
Hello
the AE 1P needs for the base CLA by 20-30 minutes to do so, only the bottom cover is disassembled below which 90% of all wear parts and/or problem parts are achieved. “Kuchhusten” and reflexfinder cleaning takes another 15-30 minutes. Most of the time you have to catch up with long cameras, even after 10 years NOS have had “hand damage”

The spare parts supply was already 30 years ago bad meanwhile, thanks to 3D metal sinter pressure, there is again some zb at Joe Caretta
