Canceling email accounts with EWEtel?

Hello, I manage several email addresses on my computer.

We used to be EWE customers and have had EWE email addresses ever since, even after switching to other providers.

This has been the case for many years. Now we're receiving emails on all our email accounts, apparently from EWE, stating that the accounts will soon be deleted because we are no longer EWE customers.

Is this all real, or is it another attempt to fish out some data?

First, I wasn't addressed by my name. Second, I have unlimited data with Telekom. My cell phone and tablet are on O2. My email is with t-online. I logged in there, and everything's fine. What exactly is a "customer care center"? It would take me 100 years to use up 15GB of data per email….

Actually, the EWE emails should be deleted after you quit there.

As long as there are no links in these mails and you are not forced to confirm your data via these links, they are probably real.

But I wouldn’t use the EWE emails anymore anyway. This is how you prevent problems when they are turned off.
