Cancel training?

Hi, I'm currently 16 years old. I graduated from secondary school in 2024 and started training as a warehouse logistics specialist. I've been training for 2 months now. At the beginning of the training we change departments every 2 months after 6 months because we're a big company. I'm in my new department now and I've been saying since the second week of the training that I don't like the training. The company and the people I work with are great and really nice, but I just don't enjoy the job I'm training for, not at all, and I don't know exactly what to do. The training lasts 3 years and I have the option of shortening it to 2.5 years and now the question is whether I should just stick with it or quit. It's November and I don't know what to do because I'd like to do an apprenticeship but this training is killing me and I don't really want to continue with it. I don't even need to start from vocational school. I hate vocational school because of my class and because I learn exactly the things that interest me zero. Yes, I know that's the point of vocational school, but I hate vocational school so much. The company is good, as I said, but I just don't enjoy the job at all. I'm always crying on the toilets during breaks and when I think about work/school I get this weird feeling in my stomach. Suppose I drop out of the apprenticeship, what do I do then? I can't start my Abitur/apprenticeship again until September. To be honest, I don't know much about voluntary social year (FSJ). I could work in general, but I don't know if that's possible everywhere at 16. I talked to my parents about it and they didn't take me seriously. They said that's just how it is and I shouldn't make such a fuss or "Why did you choose apprenticeship then?" You should know that I've done four internships, and of all of them, I enjoyed the warehouse the most. However, each internship only lasted one day, and I knew that I definitely didn't want to go back to school. I'm getting desperate. There's no one my age here, and 90% of the people in the areas I work in are men, which isn't a big problem for me, except that everyone is over 30, and I don't have anyone here. Could someone please help me with what I could do? Thanks in advance.

Hi, if this training is definitely not for you and I also wonder where it should lead, then do not finish.

You write, big business. Does your company offer further training? Anything for you? Talk to the instructor/chief.

Looking for another training and continuing until the start or summer holiday. You’re compulsory.

So you would have to visit something like a professional school and since you don’t know what you want to do, you can’t specifically look for which branch you can visit/will and if there are still places.

The alternative is the collective class for those who have not found and have to be trained. (Is that a full-time class?) Then you can continue to visit your vocational school.

Inform yourself about FSJ. I have no experiences. There are social areas, including church work. Economic Voluntary Year?

Find a new training or apply for a further school.

Continue in the course of training (but don’t tell that you want to leave), with the view of an end it may be more bearable.

You are definitely young enough to make everything possible.

The best way to contact the agency for work or work in your city.

These have a special area for people in training or seeking training.

There you can talk about everything, no one will be evil there, etc. The main task of the employment agency is to bring people into training/work. It’s important to you that you can work for a long time, and that’s just when your job is fun.

On site they will advise you what you can do, can put you an educational name by doing more than 1 day in various areas an internship. The working stage has many possibilities. There are also special professional tests on site where you can look where the interests lie etc.

You’re still very young, I only started my training at over 20.

So it’s not bad to cancel a training. This is actually more common than you think.

If you already know it doesn’t work, find an alternative and suggest your parents. You could also do internship this year and next year a new training.

Sometimes it takes some approaches

Since you’re 16 years old, you’re still compulsory.

So, if you’re off and don’t have a new training place, you need to see if you get somewhere in a professional college or something.
