Can you wash 30 degree laundry at 40 degrees?
Hi everyone, I want to start my laundry right away, but I have two sweaters that are recommended for 30 degrees. I'm also putting clothes in there that are a bit dirtier, so I wanted to start the laundry at 40 degrees. Is that okay? Or is it better not to.
Actually, you can wash everything 30 on it also at 40
Since the body temperature is at least 36 degrees, 40 degrees should not be a problem. Especially since the water has only limited the temperature and not over the entire washing process.
My wool sweater is shrunk in toddler size. 😅 No matter how warm the skin is. It counts the water temperature. Often not only the fabric shrinks, but mainly the seams, which makes the laundry “slate”.
Sewages are usually made from synthetics where nothing shrinks. Unless you wash too hot. Wool would also not be put into the machine, no matter what is on the label, but nice oldschool handwashing and lying drying.
Problem with the question is the missing information about the material. I’m not going out of wool.
I just liked to share my experience. And both meet for 40 degrees. You can relativize it, but it does not change my experience that I share here. You may have experienced other things and wool is different from the label. That’s irrelevant. By the way, seams are not necessarily made of nylon. 😅
How should we “from here” (from afar) know better if your sweater does that than its manufacturer?
I’d have doubts about the label.
What does not survive with me 40 C has no right of existence 🙂
to very few exceptions goes 40C
I made this with wool once and then the sweater was suitable for a toddler…
Frequently, the things run in or the seams (which makes the laundry go wrong) if you wash above the recommended temperature.
I used to slip a pulli 30 degrees into 40 degrees wash. nothing happened.
In the end, however, the material and the quality are
Hey!
It will have a reason to wash the pull only at 30°C.
LG
Better not.
Not much. 30 degree is okay
I’ll do that…
