No, it doesn’t even happen twice. On the one hand, Alexa himself needs an Internet connection to understand the said. She only understands “Alexa” and sends the rest to a server that listens to it and initiates an action.

And the pear itself also needs at least WLAN, probably even an Internet connection, so that it can be controlled. Without Wi-Fi, you can’t even control it from your phone with the app.

Alexander does not react without the Internet. For example, we have coupled our TV to Alexa, it can turn on and off, that would have to go without internet connection. But when you call the order, it answers something like “I’m sorry, there is no connection to the Internet at the moment”.
