Can you simply turn off the Fritz Box in the evening?

Simply unplug the Fritz!Box when it's time to go to bed and plug it back in the morning. You'll have problems with that. The info button keeps flashing, but that's the only thing. The advantage is that no one can break in and steal any data.

Turn off your PC etc and no one can steal. Wi-Fi is also time-controlled/manually choking (to save a bit of electricity).

And if your phone runs over the FB -> no connection.

I think that’s more. Over a year, around 14 kWh will come together at 8 hours of disconnection and 5 watts of power consumption, and the costs will be around 7 euros depending on the provider.

I’m more like a swamp. I save where I can. I have an electric coffee grinder that says in standby mode and write 10 (ten) watt eats. At the touch of a button, it then grinds for 15 seconds with 100 Watt. When I found out, I fitted an intermediate plug with a switch and only lock in and out immediately. This saves me 87.5 kWh a year.

It’s similar to my Bose sound system. This even eats 30 watts in standby mode. I have installed a switch on mains cables, saving at least 87 kWh.

Together, this is about the 85 euros I save every year. And for me as a working citizen’s money recipient (1-Euro-Job), this is a lot of money. That’s how I spend the year on clothing.

Could be more with me in the end. I am usually at home (until on holiday) only every 2nd weekend. Otherwise, WLAN is out.

At 8 hours a day, 2920 hours will come together. 5 watts are very optimistic, I think the Fritz!Box uses more than 10 to 15 watts. But at 5 watts, 14.6 kWh come together.

Let it be 3.50 €.

Hello,

No, please don’t.

Otherwise, you interrupt the connection to the provider.

To the nightly updates and security measures.

What you can do, turn off the WLAN.
