It doesn’t make sense that your PC should generate 120 images per second if your monitor can only show 60 of them.

Apart from the other comments that there is probably an error message.

Usually GraKa and Screen exchange information about what’s going on and what’s not going on.

The screen is usually the limiting factor.

Even if you can set in the 120Hz graphics card, the monitor does not have to do this.

The normal response of the monitor is an error message – of course, it does not display any image from the computer and then goes into standby.

It’s not usually possible. Monitor and system exchange what is going on and what is not. You can’t usually choose higher than the return value from the monitor.

Even if you manage to handle this, you will only waste computing power and continue to see 60Hz.

I doubt that there is some kind of error message. The monitor will display only every second image.

If you set up 120 Hz there, then only every second image will be displayed on the monitor, as the physically unable to align its LCDs faster. Don’t do anything.

Most monitors can be overclocked by about 10-20 Hz. Just look at the internet. I take no responsibility 😅

If your monitor doesn’t, it won’t work.

If your monitor can’t represent it, it doesn’t make sense

In the worst case, your monitor is broken

No. Then the screen displays only a black image.
The video output mode must be compatible with the screen.
