Can you ride a bike if you have spondylolysis (dislocation of the spinal vertebrae)?

I have spondylolysis and want to ride my bike in the nice weather. My doctor has only forbidden me from ball sports, horseback riding, and rope sports. But I'm still not sure whether I'm allowed to ride my bike or not. I can't find anything online either.

What is rope sports???

I suspect that even cycling could be too intense in the load. But that's exactly what your doctor can tell you.

Swimming, hiking, climbing should definitely go if climbing does not fall under rope sports, otherwise stop unsecured. 😉
