Can you redeem keys for games on Steam if they are no longer available there?

As I asked above, I'd like to know if you can redeem keys for games on Steam (as long as they're for Steam), even if the games in question are no longer available for purchase on Steam. Here's an example: The game "Star Trek" is no longer available on Steam, but I still have it in my library, as it would be "cheating" if it were simply gone. You can't buy it on Steam anymore, though. So if I were to buy a Steam key for this game from sites like MMOGA, would it still work? I want Family Guy: Back to the Multiverse and can only find the console versions on Amazon. On Steam, where it was originally available, there's no sign of it.

Yes it works just because steam does not sell it does not mean that copy protection is no longer there, has worked with me with arkham Knight than it has not been sold, and some other games

You can find out if the game exists on Steam by going to the internet site and searching. If it doesn’t exist, I’d rather leave it!

Yes, all games on Steam are still offered for the owners of these games when the games have been removed from the Steam Store. Since the keys were bought before removing the game, you can redeem them normally even if you purchased the respective key as a final customer only after removing the game from the store.

So briefly: Yes, it is. Of course, multiplayer games that are no longer offered on Steam are usually not servers on. So you can’t play online games anymore.

Should work.
Ging at the time already at Mafia 1, at Mafia 2 (when it was not in the store) and also at Dead Island after the Divinite edition came into the shop and the “old version” disappeared.

Hi, I’m not shy, but I think I can remember that I once activated a key that you couldn’t buy on steam anymore, think at so nem Random Steam Pack with 5 games (I don’t think I’m sure)

The only thing you can do is look at cheap keysellers such as Kinguin or something where you might buy a funky indiegame for 1€ or something like that (which you can no longer buy steam, you have to find out) and then try to redeem the key.

If it’s up, you can buy the game if it doesn’t work, then the few cents have spent for free for the small game, but for that it doesn’t cost much more money.

If I find out more precisely, I’ll post in here again.
