Can you paint cups with acrylic pens?

I wanted to paint a mug as a gift. I know there are special porcelain markers for that, but I didn't want to buy a special one just for one mug. The acrylic markers are waterproof, but I don't know if they'll work on mugs. Maybe someone has already tried this and can help me?

Yeah, they're holding. After that, you should leave it dry for at least 24 hours and then spray an extra seal. Do not put it in the washing machine, there it can go back and forth.
