Can the rabbits be socialized?

Hi, I'm getting two rabbits soon. I found two rabbits, but they've never met each other.

The female1 year old

The male is about 2 years old.

And they have never seen each other.

If you get them at the same time and they have never seen each other, can you still socialize them?

I will not get the rabbits from the pet store or the breeder.

Hey, I also have two rabbits (males and females) and I also got them from completely different people… They were 7-9 months… That worked great. I think it will work with you too if you make it as good as it is right from the beginning (with the associations) ๐Ÿ˜Š

If you put them in a hopefully big enclosure at the same time, that should work. Problems are more likely when one of the rabbits already considers the enclosure as its “ownness”.

Take a lot of time at the beginning and observe exactly what is happening. A few leaks (Lรถwenzahn and Co.) are very well distracted in disputes.

In any case, you need a minimum of 6sqm walk by living 24 hours a day. Everything else would definitely be too small. Then you need big hides with at least two entrances.

And much time and patience.

If you get them at the same time, and they’ve never seen each other, can you get them together anyway?

That’s the point of a socialization. I don’t understand the question.
