It depends.

If it is correctly defined by the provider, of course it is quite simple. Otherwise, depending on, in most cases there will be traces that lead to the owner. But not always.

This can also not be the case for the police, contrary to all the previous answers here, they can only ask for this by court order from the provider.

This is nonsens. The investigations are over the prosecution office. Not the police. The prosecutor’s office makes the IP query to the provider. Not the police.

If you are a person who is supposed to have more knowledge and claims that all others are wrong, you should have a plan of what you are talking about.

I’m just saying. So as a hint for the future.

Best regards

Well, the prosecutor’s office needs a court order. 😎 Well, I skipped the point of prosecution.

Yes, you can determine the provider via IP and since you have a fixed-network or mobile phone contract, you can be found.

I’m saying, only if there’s occasion. Just not like that.

If there is a concrete suspicion, a judicial decision is requested by the judge. Each provider has an extra number for authorities.

The occasion is not yet a judicial decision, sorry… 😉

The question is:

Can the police find out the address through an email address?

The answer is

Yes logo. Your IP is defined by the provider on the servers.lol

So your teachings were neither appropriate nor justified.

The question was not whether it was easy or difficult.

You should watch less Hollywood movies and teach people only when there is something to teach.

ahh, and you want to get police to find out who it was right, so if he doesn’t have a VPN they get him quite fast
