Can the heating stay on even if all the heating thermostats are closed?
Hello dear community,
We live in a single-family home and have a central oil heating system. It's about 20 years old. I can set the time of day for the heating to come on or off. I can even change this on a daily basis.
But what if the heater is heating (ie, it's during a heating period) but no heating thermostats are open? Does the heater simply heat the water in the heating pipes without releasing any heat?
Hello,
that doesn't matter, most heaters have installed a small circuit for this, so that only the set heating values ββare present in the boiler!
Super perfect, thanks for the quick help π π
Then the boiler temperature would remain high because very little heat is released in the heating circuit
And thus the heating will be less reheated
Okay, I understand, the heating then does not notice that the warm water is not consumed in the pipes and accordingly does not have to heat the water up.
The heating can't get broken by that?
In terms of cost, it would certainly not make sense to heat water, which is not used afterwards.
Thank you for the quick answer π
The heating does not break
Thank you for the quick help! Thank you now I know ππ
