That sounds very implausible. I'm not sure how or why it would work that way, and I don't think it can be scientifically justified.

Practice what you like. You're strong in what you get better at. ^^
If you don't enjoy it, you'll probably only get stronger through effort and willpower, but that's almost like mastering math even though you can't stand it. It's rather difficult.
