Can I use the WiFi amplifier to provide my PC with LAN?
Hello,
I'm getting my PC delivered in the next few days, and since my new PC doesn't have Wi-Fi, it needs LAN to work. However, I don't have a network outlet in my room, and running a cable from the router to the PC is unfortunately impossible. So I wanted to know if I can plug a LAN cable into my amplifier to get internet, or do I need to buy a dLAN?
Thank you in advance.
Yeah, you can do that. Should the speed be according to your WLAN.
DLAN can be better, but don’t have to. In some houses it works well, in others not at all. Depends on many factors.
You can also do it through your own phone. Because if you have a mobile phone, simply connect via USB, turn on USB thetering and get ready: your PC transfers the internet connection from your mobile phone (whether your phone accesses via SIM card or via WLAN)
… if your repeater has a LAN port, that’s it. However, it is not a true LAN connection at the end because a part of the route from PC to the router is still a WLAN connection.
Yes, if the amplifier has a LAN output.
only once such a network card with Wlan costs only a few euros and you could have bought directly the retrofitting takes once to plug into the pcie slot.
I have a Micro atx pc where the only pcie slot is already covered by the graphics card
also midi pcs have in the regular extra network cards pcie connection. Your lan cable also goes into a network card.
