I went to my local Commerzbank yesterday and asked what a good alternative to Apple Pay for a checking account would be. I'm currently in the process of adding my checking account there, but PayPal requires a CVV, and unfortunately, my card doesn't have one. Is there another way to add it?

Payapal only accepts credit cards. A current card is not enough.
You cannot use a Girocard at all with PayPal.
