Can I use both WhatsApp versions with different numbers at the same time?

I'll be starting a new job on July 1st and would like to have a personal and a business cell phone number. I've had my personal one for many years and also use it for WhatsApp.

Can I now add a business phone number via an eSIM and use it with WhatsApp Business?

That means: I have on my phone

  • WhatsApp with my private number
  • WhatsApp Business with my business number

and can use both in parallel.

Does this work?

You should first clarify in the company whether you can even use WhatsApp for business contacts. Many companies prohibit their employees because WA does not comply with the GDPR.

Depending on the field of application, you might get a service handy. There you can only use the apps that the company IT has installed.

If the phone does this, you don’t even need to install Whats App Business as a second app, but you can run it as a dual messenger.

The phone then notices that you have 2 SIM cards and you can install Whatsapp twice.

Then you have the app twice a number.

Depends on your Hndy on it, Android phones allow to double install apps.

Samsung has an option in the settings, with other manufacturers I don’t know exactly, but you can retrofit the function with “Duplikator” apps from the Google Play Store and thus install Whatsapp several times and use it with different accounts.

Whatsapp itself offers as far as I know no MultiAccount solution
