Can I install an M.2 SSD here?

Hey,

Unfortunately, I'm not that knowledgeable about PCs, but I'd like to expand my storage and install an M.2 SSD. Since I've never done anything like this before and I'm not really familiar with all the slots, I wanted to ask if I can even install this SSD on my motherboard ( https://www.mindfactory.de/product_info.php/500GB-Samsung-SSD-980-M-2-PCIe-3-0-x4-3D-NAND-TLC–MZ-V8V500BW-_1401240.html ) and whether it can be installed in the slot shown in the pictures.

Thanks for any help!

If it’s an M.2 port, but it looks like it.

Similar are also plug sets for WLAN modules.

Hi.

I’d say that out of my hip, yes that’s a NVMe slot.

You can just look at your motherboard manual. that is the safest way.

If you don’t know what you have for a motherboard, look at it. Or laugh https://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html and let it read.

Have fun with the new hardware.

Yeah, I can. Maybe you can write in the connection generation. The link to the motherboard would also be enough.
