Can I delete the folder?
I'm currently trying to free up space on my PC by deleting unnecessary files that clutter it. I came across this Nvidia cache folder and was wondering if I can safely delete it:
C:\Users\turte\AppData\LocalLow\NVIDIA\PerDriverVersion\ DXCache
(If anyone knows of any good programs that can delete unnecessary files, please let me know.)
Yeah.
In theory, you can even delete the profile in the Appdata area without ensuring that the PC is no longer running. These are all only user-specific settings, the programs then also refresh as soon as they are re-run. Must be. Because if you create a new local profile on the PC, the area is as empty as you would have deleted it. So in the Worst-Case, a few settings are gone.
But it won’t bring much. Gucke is best in the C drive which takes a lot of space and attempts to delete anything bigger.
Can you get CCleaner? It analyzes how much storage space you can release by deleting temporary files and remove them if you want.
I also use CCleaner who helps me pretty well. However, this is usually not enough. That’s why I just search through every folder I know I don’t need it anymore, like old apps. The Nvidia Cache folder brings me almost 2GB, which I can use well as my C drive is almost always in the red area. Games like Minecraft save to C by default in the Appdata folder and cannot be moved to D (where I have 2TB). I must get a new SSD for C (only 120GB for C):/
Yes, there is a trick about the NTFS file system.
Try the FolderMove tool.

With this I have been able to move whole program and game folder structures from “C:\” (from SSD to HDD…).
The respective programs and games were still running.
Okay, I’ve installed a lot thanks to this is really very helpful!
Simply after disk cleaning, then select system files and then you delete everything.
