modern graphics cards and chips support the output on multiple monitors, which can be set in de stat via a click on the desktop, how to configure it exactly, e.g. double or as a side extension.

a second monitor is connected via one of the free ports of the card or in the I/O panel.

However, a “printer cable” is only useful if the graphics card and the monitore usb-c support and also a printer is clear with it. otherwise you need hdmi or other cables for video and audio.

you just have to “supply” both monitors identically, i.e. resolution and fps must be equal. is always the one with the weaker performance.

A monitor via Printerscable connection? Are you sure you don’t change anything? Generally, this is simply USB and if you are not talking about USB-C (it would not be known to me with USB-C anyway), no. This is usually done via HDMI, DisplayPort, VGA etc. theoretically via Ethernet (screen clone).

Why do I have such a connection on the screen?

That’s another connection then. To attach images to the question would be absurd. 😉

Correct printer cables have not been available for a long time.

You mean a USB-A after USB-B cable?

Why do I have such a connection on the screen?

This is a USB-B socket, so a USB input. They are used to connect the monitor to USB. Then the monitor will have further USB-A sockets. You can then connect keyboard, mouse and USB sticks. This is simply a USB hub integrated in the monitor, i.e. a kind of USB distributor. So then only three cables go to the desk, the “other stuff” you can put in the monitor instead of directly in the PC.

If the monitor has touchscreen, then the USB will register as a kind of mouse and will notify the PC when touching the screen.

This has nothing to do with printers or video images. You could use a monitor to connect the printer to the monitor, but not with this socket, which is the input for USB, not the output.

P.S.:

Strictly, you can insert another monitor in your first one. Then the second monitor USB gets from the first. Then you can put your mouse in the second monitor. But it gets only image when the cable is plugged in via DVI/HDMI.

Of course, this also works without HDMI/DVI connection. Then you use the monitor as a gigantic, extremely power-consuming USB hub which then not only distributes USB but also displays “No Signal”. So if you want to have a “Fancy USB hub”, you can do that.

My MSI monitor is also connected via USB. On the one hand, you can set the monitor using software and do not have to press it directly on the monitor. On the other hand, the rear RGB illumination can be controlled by Mystic Light

Just like a touchscreen, the then not only has a built-in stroke, which then also depends on it as a USB device.

But that still has nothing to do with the picture on the monitor.

And yes, there are monitors that can be supplied with power and image data via USB-C. This is only possible with C and not with the B connection which is typically found on printers.

If that were, it wouldn’t be a printer cable but a monitor cable.

you can connect another printer by printer cable, but no monitor

This is probably a Usb type B connection. You can connect the monitor to the PC via USB. Maybe the monitor acts as a USB hub if it has ports for USB. Or what I think more like my MSI monitor is that you can access the monitor settings directly via the USB cable via software. If the monitor like my MSI monitor has a rear RGB illumination, you can adjust the illumination with Mystic Light if you have connected the monitor via USB cable.

you have no printer connection on the screen, you just confuse the connection

No, I can’t.
