Can I build the tripod myself?

Hello, I'd like to get a Star Adventurer mini from Skywatcher. But I don't have the money for another tripod, so I'm wondering if I could build a suitable wooden tripod stand. I'm asking here because I couldn't find anything about it on Google.

It might work with this tripod if you get a small adapter screw (from 1/4 to 3/8 inch).

You can screw the SAM onto it. It's not sufficient for very long focal lengths, but nice overview shots with up to 30 seconds of exposure should be possible with good positioning.

Do you know the "500 formula"?

  1. Wenn du ein unglaublich guter Schreiner bist, dann vielleicht.
  2. Du brauchst aber immer noch ein paar Metallteile.
