Can anyone explain the following Windows problem to me?
Hi, I have a question about the difference between an admin user account and a normal user account.
The following problem occurred. My gaming headset doesn't work on a regular user account (in this example). It's not defective!
But when I log in as an admin, it works seamlessly. I have a similar experience with many software and hardware components.
Anyone have any idea why this is so?
The normal user account does not seem to have enough rights.
Run program as administrator: If the headset is connected to a specific software, try to launch this software with administrator rights. Right click on the application and select “Run as Administrator”. (Dangerous)
Customize user rights: If possible, adjust the permissions of the normal user account so that it has access to the necessary devices. This can be done via the user account control.
User account does not have enough rights I think
Simply change the account type of your user account or use the admin account
