Call center job without a degree?
Hello,
I wanted to apply to a call center in the future but have the following situation:
I left school at 16, never went to school, and accordingly have a secondary school diploma with an average of about 4.0. So I've gotten grades of 4 and 5 many times (I also got a 6 once).
I was never there because of my many mental illnesses.
The next problem is my resume. I haven't done anything since I left school. I'm 23 now, so I haven't done anything at all for almost seven years. (I was in psychiatric hospitals and underwent psychological treatment.)
Apprenticeships won't accept me because of these circumstances, and so I'm denied any training. I wanted to try working now, but with my resume, the only option is a call center. Avedo advertises that they welcome career changers. Is that true, and do you have experience with that? Are there other good call center employers? Do you think I have a real chance of being hired there, given my circumstances? Does anyone have any experience? I'd like to work, but unfortunately I can't because nobody will hire a mentally ill person with a seven-year gap in their resume.
I desperately need money right now, so I'm only interested in jobs I can do. What other jobs do you see that offer me opportunities? Nursing assistant?
(I would have passed secondary school without any problems purely from a performance perspective, so it wasn't because I was stupid or anything like that, it was just because I was really sick).
Thank you in advance for your answers.
Under the conditions described, it will probably only reach an auxiliary job.
Why don’t you try to follow a higher education degree?
Hey, thanks for the answer. Having a higher degree was definitely in my mind. But I would have to work first because of lack of money in the family etc. So I wanted to know if I had a chance at the call center. Auxiliary job in the sense of? Do you have some examples where you see a chance for me?
If BAföG or ALG 2 or other state services are eligible for you.
For quick money, become warehouseist, worker in the call center etc. If you want to do something from your life in the long term, look that you can catch up with the school. Distance learning etc. and seek a teaching. It’s never too late
Jobs focus on performance and reliability. If you say that you are permanently prevented from the most time of your life, permanently in treatment, have missed in school, etc, it seems as if you are not too reliable or it would not be clear if you can come to last every day and do the job well. That’s why you have to look, but I wouldn’t expect too much. You need to be able to handle people well for a call center and stay stable even in annoying cases.
I think for you would be a little more physically appropriate, as your mental illness would restrict you less
Yeah.
No.
