This is a coupling for something that leads to the liquid. At the lower end you see the cone over which a hose is pushed. It could be related to the windshield wiper system. Can you see if there's a hose nearby? Put your cell phone under the car, set the photo to flash and take a picture – it could be that you see the counterpart on it. Is the wiper water on the rear window? Is there any uninhabited ads in the instruments? VW-Kenner will probably write you the same for what the part is for. At any rate, you can start driving.

No, that's not a valve or clutch, that's a pressure sensor.

then perhaps found the cause. Drive on a pit or lift up and then look under it, there will surely be the counterpart nearby

In my opinion, this is a pressure sensor.

Bad to see. Can be the condensation water from the air conditioning system. See if water comes out when the climate (longer) runs.

I don't think it depends in the rear area, the climate is at the front.

It's written in front.

The question is wrong.

I assume the text was correct. It's up front.

But the photo's at the back right?

when ABS is lit up when it is driven off, it is the connector to the ABS sensor

And how about the windshield washing system, does it spray on both sides? And on the rear window? Does it then drip from this clutch (load under the car)?
