They cost about 1000€ per piece and must be kept in company. 5 m2 and a licence must be available per animal. Furthermore, you must register the posture at the top of the Nature Conservation Authority

Why would someone want an monkey if he’s not just an animal park owner? They are extem hard to keep, need a lot of space (also the small species), special food and permanent society, cause as exotics loosely defensive veterinarian bills, because the fewest veterinarians are set to such “patients”, and adult they are often malicious or take unpleasant own species (coth!). As pure “prestige pets” monkeys are definitely unsuitable.
