Buy a motor to tinker with?

Hello,

I've been getting more interested in engines and the like lately, and I'd like to see something physical in front of me instead of just watching YouTube videos. Do you think I could just buy an engine on eBay or something and tinker with it a bit (take it apart and put it back together)? If so, does anyone know of an engine I could use to do something like that (preferably inexpensive and similar to a motorcycle engine)?

If at all, you should buy a complete moped directly, and be it any accident grotto, because without the cable harness and the frame and the tank and all that it would later be unnecessarily complicated to start the engine.

Each car workshop has engines that do not go to repair anymore or look past recovery plants. Maybe you can disassemble something there.

Well, I’d see if I could find an old, crushed mopped engine. Especially in the 50s or 125s there should be plenty.

Perhaps in the regional press a small ad:

“Search defective engine, 50 – 250ccm, price max.: 100€. Get yourself off.”

Otherwise, look for broken lawnmowers or the like?

No, I can’t imagine.

Why would I sell you a running engine that would have to be dismantled and replaced for such little money?

I could imagine you need such a garage, an old lawn mower, an old mofa, which at Daddy still moderates in the garage.

A Vati, like me, who thinks, “Ah, you have to support the boy, I still have the old thing in the garage, I’m calling him now.”

Why don’t you ask for a car dump?
