The small planes do not have their own business class. They are usually identical and, depending on the number of passengers (business vs. economy), a room divider is pushed between the corresponding rows.

In the Business Class

  • in the 3-3 seating (3 seats on the left and 3 seats on the right) the middle is free, i.e. you do not fight around the armrest.
  • you also get magazines and probably more than just a muesli bar.

In short-haul flights and perhaps 1h in the air, there is not much time for boarding and catering.

Back for Frequent Flyers:

If you like to have a desired place (window or gang) you should not book in the economy as far as possible. That’s right behind the curtain. If there are fewer passengers in the economy and more in the business than assumed, the curtain is pushed 1-2 rows to the rear and the rows are distributed to free places further behind. You get a new boarding card printed directly at the gate.

The difference itself is naturally in the flight duration. There is time to serve a multi-course menu on porcelain.

The seats are wider, the seat distance is larger, there are larger monitors, with the personal address and stowage of coats and garment bags in extra apartments.

For long distances or frequent flyers in any case better than the Eco. Between business and first, however, the price difference is not justified.

I can’t eat more, the crew knows my name, but I don’t have a seat neighbor on some airlines, which I personally feel as an advantage.

There is no big difference between business and eco on the short section. Also in the business there are (almost) the same seats, sometimes the middle seat can be pushed together. Then you have 2 seats.

There is no time left for a persevering meal and the service is strongly dependent on the airline philosophy. The advantages are more to be found on the ground than there are: extra shutdown switches – especially at the beginning of the week in the morning and at the weekend in the evening – often own security controls, that is to say less long serpents and in the plane perhaps the faster exit, as some business people still think without they would not run the economy 😉

But if that’s the difference in price, let’s say it justifies a two-hour flight?

You can experience the differences in general on the HP of the respective airline. You can also find some things on YouTube.
