Burnt-in pixels on LG monitor: What to do?

Hey, I've been playing Minecraft for too long, and now pixels are burned into my LG UltraGear 27GP850P-B monitor, which I bought on Amazon on October 10, 2023. What can I do? Thanks.

Huch, this shouldn’t happen anymore.

Turn off the device for several hours, sometimes the device has to cool.

I have been playing minecraft

This can’t happen – especially because the image always changes at Minecraft – it’s AFK. It’s probably a defect.

Check out the following video:

Repair dead pixels (youtube.com)

If it does not help, only the Amazon warranty or warranty extension will help.

Just threw your question in ChatGPT. (Have left the date and Amazon)
Something came out of here: maybe it’ll help.

I’m sorry to hear that your LG UltraGear 27GP850P-B monitor has burned pixels. Here are some steps you can try:

  1. Screen update: Try to turn off the monitor for a few hours. Sometimes burnt pictures disappear after a while.
  2. Use screensaver: Make sure you use a screensaver to avoid static images that can lead to burns.
  3. Pixel Refresh: Some monitors have a function to update the pixels. Check your monitor’s settings to see if this option is available.
  4. Professional help: If the above steps do not help, contact the manufacturer or a specialist. You can recommend further steps or check the monitor.

Remember that burned pixels can sometimes not be completely repaired. If your monitor is still under warranty, check if you are entitled to a replacement.

This info from ChatGPT refers to OLED?

Is that a question or a statement?

Because Pixel Shift and screen updates are things I have only known from OLED.

I noticed. Unfortunately, the sentence from the sentence building did not belong to a question. But I don’t think the answer refers to an Oled monitor. I’m not sure.

The question mark at the end of the sentence implies a question.

You’re right. I’m sorry I don’t know well about the subject and, as I still wanted to help, I just tried to do something.

For what you post ChatGPT answers.

I'm going to tell you that you've marked it's such a thing. That makes you 10,000 times better than most.

BUT: If the FS wanted such an answer, he would have asked the question to ChatGPT.
