Build your own HomeLab (server)?

I want to build a home server myself where I install Proxmox and then run a few VMs (Nextcloud, web server, etc.).

Is this configuration good for this:

It's important to me that I can upgrade the RAM later and add one or two SATA SSDs. I also want to keep power consumption as low as possible.

Therefore, I use a Raspberry PI 3 as wake-on-lan, so the server only runs 12 hours a day.

According to my calculations, this would be a maximum electricity cost of about 30€ per month at a constant 300W load

Can anyone tell me if the configuration is correct and give me further tips to reduce power consumption even further

Sounds very clever.

For power consumption:

Look around for ATX12VO power supplies and motherboards. Since the power supply only produces 12V and 3.5V / 5V are generated by the motherboard. This increases the efficiency of power supplies even with low utilization (3.5V & 5V are usually hardly used). I don’t even have:P

And get a more efficient power supply (if the one for SFX is available), 80+ Gold brings you about 5 percentage points more efficiency
