Book cover not displayed in e-book?
Hello,
I have e-books here that authors distribute for free via newsletters, but when I upload them to my Kindle library, I don't see any covers. The files all end in .epub. It's really annoying if that doesn't work.
Anyone have any ideas?
It’s probably because no cover has been added here. You can easily correct this with Calibre.

Cover exists, the book is also available with cover from various booksellers. Is really at the Kindle Library, now also use the Neat Reader and the cover is displayed easily.
I’ll try your tip, of course, but if Kindle doesn’t want, don’t stop.
It’s weird. I’ve never had the problem before.
In German at Thalia and Amazon. But I read most of them in Russian and I buy them at Litres.
Where can I buy e-books other than Thalia? Where are you going?
At Thalia you have to make sure that the book does not have a hard DRM copy protection from Adobe. There are only very few books and yet there are. That doesn’t make the Kindle clear. Most of the books are watermarked, which is not a problem for the Kindle.
If there was no problem going back to the Stone Age, just to get my e-books with cover on the Kindle;).
I’ll probably just buy an e-book at Thalia and then upload it, maybe it’s up to the file.
It used to go. I don’t know if it still works today. Uploading via USB books is a method from the Stone Age. Today, you send your books to the Kindle by e-mail or by using the Kindle app conveniently from your PC, tablet or smartphone. The Kindle only has to be connected to the Internet via WLAN, which is nothing more unusual nowadays.
The Kindle automatically synchronizes with the Kindle library on the Internet and the manually added ePub books are automatically converted to the AZW3 and loaded onto the Kindle.
Hmm, can’t you upload books via USB at Kindles? Or am I wrong?
Yes, I use a Kindle and most of my books aren’t from Amazon.
Most of my books I bought at Litres. Some also at Thalia.
Do you use a kid? It’s the first time I really upload something that doesn’t come from Amazon, so I don’t have a comparison.
.epub is not a format for the Kindle
Not? What format does the Kindle have?
You need to convert epub files for the Kindle with a Converter.
.ePub is a standard format for eBooks and is officially supported by Kindle.

I read with a tolino that can pdf and epub. I’m sorry I don’t know more.
AZW3 doesn’t work, PDF, RTF and TXT seem somehow not to arrive. Do you have a tip for maybe open source reading programs away from Amazon and Co? Where can I insert my e-books?
In any case, this does not support the service, no AZW/3. Let’s see if it’s going through PDF/DOCX. Thank you.
I’ll try. Thank you.
AZW and AZW3 is an exclusive e-book format developed specifically for Amazon Kindle.
Okay, last question, what format does Amazon use that by heart?
