Brother's printing is blurry. What should I do?
Our Brother dcp-195c suddenly started printing blurry. Does anyone know how to fix this? I bought a whole new set of ink, suspecting that was the problem, but that wasn't the case. I've tried the cleaning function a lot, and that doesn't help either. The black is blurry, and the colors are really weird. In the second picture, the color should be blue. For now, though, my focus is on normal black printing.
Could be the printhead. Paper transport rather not, since the letters are apparently laterally displaced. Put RareDevil's proposal over. Maybe there's a print head adjustment at your printer?
You have to perform a print head calibration so that the colors are superimposed.
As described in page 77, you use the option:
Vertical alignment.
You get the manual here:
Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No 680/2014 of 26 June 2014 laying down detailed rules for the application of Council Regulation (EC) No 1160/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the common organization of the market in fruit and vegetables (OJ L 347, 20.12.2014, p. 1).
In your case, the alignment shall be performed. This is a program in the printer. One side comes out with many fine lines. The instructions are also on the paper that comes out.
There are different patterns you need to compare. As much as I know, it's no. 5 which should fit best, otherwise you can change it.
Proposals: Print test page to see if all print heads go, run print head cleaning, perform print head alignment if this function exists.
With a lot of bad luck, the print head is defective or possibly something in the printer itself… Driver problem I exclude. Could be excluded with an internal test page if the printer can print an operating report, for example, without using a PC or a mobile phone etc…
First put on factory settings….
