If you don’t get clear with silicone pads, maybe a plastic frame would be a way to find that this acetate/plastic material is not the most non-slip variant. With such a frame, the fit on the nose pads should be really perfect, otherwise you will not have any pleasure in the glasses, because there is nothing to be adjusted afterwards and which can lead to pressure points or even to strong sliding of the glasses. Also, if you do not have very low strengths, the glasses can become quite heavy overall.

However, you could also explain to your optician the problem with your existing glasses and allow the pads to be exchanged against which of other material/in other shape/size – that would not be a complicated thing.

Go to the surgery shop and have your advice. There are also different pads.

Probably they are made of a material you don’t wear or you’re allergic.

There are the ones in all kinds of materials – just let others go.

I have the problem, for example, with silicone: The skin ignites in the shortest time in skin contact. I still feel the material as very unpleasant and sticky.

Searched for years the cause of the constant itchy pimples at S..k. No doctor could help me and nix. Until I find out that there’s silicone in shampoo. Other shampoo, pimples disappeared within 48h.

It would always slip. Even if it were the perfect size. I wouldn’t do it.

Well. Usually plastic frames do not have pads and still sit.

Plastic rather not. But they’re made of metal.

Yes, metal frames usually have pads, so I said yes, the alternative without pads are plastic frames

Plastic frames often have no pads and also sit well when set correctly. I myself have a plastic frame and I am satisfied.

Yes, there are glasses without nasal pads. Not rare.

A disadvantage: the hold and possibly even pressure points.

I have one without. Do not have any problems, but is the only glasses I’ve ever possessed. I don’t have any problems with slipping or printing, the people here who say they never had glasses without nasal pads.

The disadvantage would be that a spectacle without pads sits badly and constantly slips.

Plastic frames do not have pads and still sit well when set correctly. I have absolutely no problems with this.

It also makes pressure points and slides more when you sweat.
