Glasses while driving, even though they are not necessary?
Hello, I have the following problem:
When I applied for my driver's license, my eye test showed that I don't absolutely need glasses while driving, but they are recommended. I decided to drive without them. During my driving lessons, however, I realized that driving might be better with glasses, so I got them. Now the examiner has criticized me for driving with prescription lenses, but this isn't noted on my license, and I should change it. Since the eye test shows I don't need glasses, I can keep my license as it is, right? For your information: I'm nearsighted and have a -0.5 on the right and -0.75 on the left.
I passed today and want to save myself the effort of changing everything 😅

You should do that best at the driving station. I’d leave it that way, if possible.
There is no doubt about the test – the glasses can hardly be regarded as unauthorized aid. From the visual test it is also so that you can still meet the minimum requirements without glasses without being allowed to drive a car.
Driving with glasses anyway is certainly right. This should not be designed to your disadvantage either.
You passed the vision test without a visual aid. It has also been noted on the official visual test form. You don’t have to be noticed on the driver’s license.
This question has already appeared several times here, which is when I insist on the vision test without glasses, but I found that with glasses I still see something better. Can the examiner or the office then demand that the visual aid be entered in the driving licence? I don’t think so. I’m legally allowed to drive barefoot, but I’m safer with shoes.

The fact that you’re driving with glasses is a little bit short-sighted.
But many people only have years after they have made the appearance of getting glasses without it being registered. So you could save your effort.
Don’t you get the license handed out? Otherwise, it doesn’t matter what the examiner said.

I have made about the same values as you and my driver’s license without glasses, but now I always wear them. Don’t worry, just let the examiner talk as long as he doesn’t force you to do it, I wouldn’t let anything change.
Can it just leave what you think like a lot of people caring the “at that time” had good eyes and today fell under the required 70% (I think it was)….
These are far too many and especially the older ones who are so happy to learn.
