Braces not making any progress?

Hello, I've had my braces for over two years now and they're coming off soon. However, I'm not at all satisfied with the progress. I still have small gaps between my canines, and my front teeth are all uneven. I also still have a very slight overbite.

How should I go about this? The doctor once suggested that there were problems because my teeth are small compared to my other bones. I haven't studied dentistry, but I couldn't really understand that. To be honest, I find it hard to imagine my doctor being accommodating if I complained. I strongly suspect that she would simply blame me, saying that I hadn't worn my elastic bands properly, etc. (which isn't true, of course). Especially since, even if that were the case, the doctor would have lied to me for the past two years, because she never complained about me not wearing my elastic bands.

Hello pacoalcacer,

a brace is not removed until there are no gaps. There can be compromises in a bite, but that will be discussed.

Orthodontics already know what they do. If the relationship of trust is burdened or is no longer present, you have a problem. It is usually better to solve problems in personal conversations. If you don’t help, you’ll get to the health insurance. She pays the thing, knows about problems too and knows what to do.

Good luck!
