Boiling tomato sauce with bacon / botulism?
Hello,
My husband preserved our tomatoes from the garden today. He filled clean jars with the sauce while it was still hot, then turned it upside down. This was late in the evening. He sterilized the jars again in the morning. He told me he added some chopped bacon. Is there a risk of botulism with this method, or is the sauce safe to use?

If you mean sterilizing, he cooked them properly, then everything should be okay.
