Soil compaction moisture – paved area?
Hello everyone,
My wife and I wanted to lay drainage pipes to our garage, which we're getting soon. Our neighbor used his excavator to create a trench about 50 cm deep that extends behind the garage (about 17 meters long).
Due to the current German weather, a sudden, unexpected rain came and flooded everything. It happened again the next day, and again two days after that. Unfortunately, we haven't had a chance to continue working since last Wednesday. Now, however, the whole thing has to be completed tomorrow, and today it's pouring again. What do we do here? Digging any deeper isn't possible, as the drainage pipes are only a few centimeters away. How do we close the sheds and, at the same time, make them secure for this year's paving work? Can anyone help us with an expert opinion? Thank you very much!
Best regards
Dominic Schramm
I just don’t understand the problem.
You have a trench, the pipes are already in there? It can also be filled with rain. Then you get dressed accordingly when you have time. But honestly, that unexpectedly the rain didn’t come… And why does it have to be until tomorrow?
But in no rain radar he was in with us and I’m about to throw the wet ground into which the water is thickened now to throw ground and then to plaster in a few weeks. This must be done tomorrow because the garage is coming on Tuesday
But it was generally reported rain or that it can rain. Construction workers also grow in rain. It’s not a problem to throw the earth into the water. It’ll be harder if it’s only earth. Experience has shown that it sticks to the vibrating plate. But by the water, this is also compacting a bit if you don’t throw lumps next to lumps… Condense Evt with spades or sheep… If my plaster is still in place, the ground must be attached to the skin if it is plastered, a thick layer of basalchotter or the like, which is shaken and well compressed, then the splint bed and then the plaster, which is shaken again with protective mat when the surface is sensitive, otherwise it will be shaken without protective mat… So I still don’t see a problem… Unless you didn’t consider anything fundamental…
Okay, that’s a helpful answer. So we can just keep going. That’s good. I was just afraid that it will be in the area over the years
What does your neighbor have to do with your plot???
He has his own excavator and has helped us so that we don’t have to shove everything with the hand.
He had the excavator. This is an important info… 𤡠âī¸đ Otherwise the tomb would not be so deep and/or not finished…
