Bluetooth adapter via USB for radio?
Hello folks,
Unfortunately, my radio (Philips AZ787) doesn't have Bluetooth. Therefore, I would like to upgrade. To do this, I would prefer not to require an external power supply for the adapter.
It is not possible to connect a Bluetooth adapter via AUX alone, as AUX inputs are not suitable for supplying power to a connected device.
Unfortunately, my radio only supplies power to the USB port when the source is set to USB, which is why a Bluetooth adapter that works via AUX wouldn't be possible to connect to the radio itself; it would require an additional connector. But that's exactly what I'd like to avoid if possible.
So I'm wondering if there's a USB stick that can act as a data stick for the radio and provide a playable MP3 or WMA file for the radio, in which the Bluetooth signal can then be heard.
There is something like a CD drive for cars, which you can retrofit in cars without a CD player because it outputs the CD as a USB stick with WAV files.
I haven't found such a stick anywhere yet. Is something like this even technically possible? And if it does exist, does anyone know where I can get one?
I'm curious
