Blender; 2.79b vs Blender 4.0; Where is this menu that can no longer be displayed?
Hello,
I just took a quick look at Blender 4.0.
I normally still work with an old version 2.79b.
In 2.79b there is a menu on the left side.
Can this no longer be displayed in the new one?
Such settings or confirmations in add-ons, such as boleon tools (difference), are probably no longer possible so quickly?
And while we're on the subject of Blender…
Can the BGE be installed later?
Good day; interesting to see a blender from the 2.7 series again!
Since then, a lot has changed. In version 2.8 there was a big update to the user interface: https://www.blender.org/download/releases/2-80/#a-fresh-start
Basically, this menu is now on the right edge to open either with the mouse over this arrow or the N button:
This is actually something different.
The buttons in the Transform & Edit subpoints are no longer available in this menu. Move now with the icons left in the picture, the rest is still in the menus in the upper (early lower) bar:
The Bool tool is available in the user preferences (top bar, “Edit” > “Preferences”) in 4.0 (left) as an add-on, in the current version 4.3 (right) as an extension:
Where the tools are now located, is specified in 4.0 / left under “Location:”, in 4.3 / right you will find these details under the arrow right next to the name of the extension > “View Details”
In the case of the Bool tool, but also many other extensions, this is as usual in the sidebar, here in the “Edit” submenu:
The game engine was set as a project.
Since Blender appeared in the early 2000s, a lot has been done in game engines. It was a lot of work to get the option in Blender and not the strongest offer.

I hope that this is so understandable and complete. Otherwise I would like to be ready for demand ^^
Thank you. there is certainly another question.
Is godot and Unreal game engine 5 comparable?
Other
It’s hard to say. Both are game engineers with editor and similar basic skills that can achieve similar results for many applications. There are great differences outside this.
Godot is a much lighter application1 and is developed by the community, like Blender. The focus is 2D and 3D Indie Games: https://godotengine.org/features/ || https://godotengine.org/showcase/.
Unreal is very extensive2 with advanced features and is developed by Epic Games. The focus is on the latest technologies and realistic graphics: https://www.unrealengine.com/en-US/features || https://steamdb.info/tech/Engine/Unreal/?sort=followers_desc
Of course, it is also possible to achieve other things with both, if necessary it is only less friendly. I would definitely recommend starting with Godot; The basic concepts (which are quite similar in most modern engines) can be easily learned and quickly implemented. Integration with Blender is also good ^^

[1] Storage space is of course only significant, but gives a good quick insight. Sound System requirements is the engine + an average project ~200 MB, plus ~1.3 GB for libraries and tools to export. The editor is so easy, it can even run in the web browser: https://editor.godotengine.org (this is not recommended for serious work)
[2] Memory consumption is unfortunately not officially specified♪ This post come together well 32–120 GB depending on the feature selection.
Thank you
