Bladder burning when you don’t drink enough?

Hello everyone,

I (female) hope to find someone who has the same symptoms or maybe even a specialist who knows about it.

About eight years ago, I had my first bladder infection. I was about 12 at the time. It cleared up with antibiotics to the point where the doctor couldn't find anything unusual in my urine. However, I still experienced burning pain when urinating. I noticed that this only occurred when I didn't drink enough.

It was extremely protracted, the doctor couldn't help me, and I was too young to stand up for myself. Over the years, things gradually got better, but it took years for me to notice.

I had another bladder infection about three years ago, but I didn't really notice it that time. The problem was more that I had to go to the bathroom constantly.

Now, about three weeks ago, I suddenly had the same symptoms again. I have to say that after urinating, the pain was really pulling into my urethra, and my bladder was more of a secondary concern. At first, I wasn't sure if it was a possible injury to my urethra or a bladder infection, but after a week, I went to the doctor because it wasn't getting better and the burning sensation in my bladder was becoming more prominent. Nothing was found in the urine sample, and the doctor just gave me something herbal.

Now I've noticed that this stabbing pain in my urethra has lessened, but I get it along with a burning sensation in my bladder (severe!) when I haven't drunk enough. The burning sensation in my bladder, like an infection, is really getting on my nerves because it's so uncomfortable. I don't want it to stay the way it was before and have to endure it for years.

About half an hour ago, I woke up with that feeling again and went to the bathroom, but not much came out. Afterward, I immediately drank a whole bottle of water because I knew it would help. Luckily, I'm starting to notice it, too.

Despite everything, I think this can't be normal. I just had to write this question because this back and forth is really bothering me. If I drink a lot, the symptoms practically go away. But if I don't, they're so severe that it can't be normal.

Please let me know if you've experienced something similar. I hope someone can give me some advice. And please don't tell me: "Just drink a lot." I've heard that often enough.

Best regards!

Hello! Make sure to drink more. I had been hurt for years, it was always better and bad again. I spent nights crying in the bathroom. Often nothing was found in the urine sample. I can remember how I felt when everyone was supposed to have found nothing and told me it seems to be all right. Wine and champagne have made it worse, had also suspected oral and sex, only worn warm underpants and shoes, did not go swimming anymore. Was often help with the family doctor, gynecologist and urologists.

I’ve always been better with antibiotics. Mannose always helped. At that time at the urologist for bubble leveling there was also all right, which had then suggested to take nifurantin low-dosed over several months. After that, it started again. Give me the Strovac vaccination also with little success.

Then I rewrote nifurant and put it as in the pack (Höchstdose) – since that’s all right. For a few years.
Sorry for the long text, wish you find a solution and good improvement!

No, I didn’t think I was crazy. But it was really very burdensome. Don’t give it to the normal.

Apparently something is wrong with the concentration of your urine. If this is too strong, it can lead to irritation. More liquid prevents this. How much do you drink? If you already drink enough, a urologist or nephrologist must go to the search for the cause.

Yes, I am convinced.
