Black smoke when accelerating?

Hello everyone,

I bought a Ford Focus Cmax 1.6 Tdci

2006 year 109hp

Diesel

My problem: the car smokes heavily when accelerating from about 2000 rpm

Was already in the workshop:

Turbo OK

Injectors fit

DPF OK

You can't give me a reason

The only thing they found is that the DPF seal is defective, but that's not the problem, I was told on site.

Exchange as said by the mechanic is not due to the

What ideas do you have?

MOT was done just 3 weeks ago 🤷‍♂️

No loss of acceleration etc.

I am currently at a loss

Probably a leaky charge air hose. The control unit registers the air mass flowing through the air mass meter but does not notice that half of it is subsequently lost, so too much fuel is injected.

Black smoke in the air?

It’s not normal.

Fit injection nozzles

Was the spray test? Or did you just look over it and say “fit”?

Dpf in order

Can’t be. In principle, soot filters are of closed design. There is no soot coming through – and if so, he is missing or has a crack. However, a diesel engine should not produce any striking black smoke even with a defective soot filter.

Was the air mass meter already tested? Would be a source of error.

Black smoke in diesel usually speaks for fuel surplus. This would speak for defective injectors or too little air (air filter dense).
