I don’t know what that is. But it’s not normal. Maybe I’ve seen something like that, but not as bad as that picture.

I don’t know exactly what the black holes means, maybe they bleed a little. But at the birch it is only important if it becomes too high to shorten up otherwise it can bend around?!

Don’t panic, a tree doesn’t tilt as fast. Not every damage to the bark kills a tree.
