BIOS problem. PC boots from an unavailable SATA drive?

Hello to the people who know more than I do. 🙂

I have a question about a boot problem I've been having for a while. As you can see from the pictures, I have two hard drives and a DVD drive connected. The problem is that Windows is installed on the SATA6G_4.

This is displayed in the boot menu, but not in the boot priority. So I sit in front of a screen for 10 minutes until my PC finally realizes it can boot from something, and then the thing boots up within 30 seconds.

So the question is, can someone explain why I can't select this hard drive?

A while ago there was a Windows update after, for whatever reason, everything was working fine for a few weeks and the box always booted up immediately, but then at some point it suddenly stopped working.

Windows always installs at least 2 partitions: An invisible small boot partition and the actual visible Windows in a big partition behind it.

Were other operating systems previously intallert on the computer or on the boards, another Windows? If you get a Windows to start, look at all disks in the disk management, look for small (200MB or so) invisible partitions. There should be only one, not several on several plates.

I guess the plates were never empty and never bare on the system, possibly even mbr gpt mix, or whatever. What is the bootloader? Or are there bodies on both plates? There are so many possibilities for this.

go to the system control -> administration -> data carrier management

check in the list of running gears that are listed there whether the questionable is also set as a “primary running gear” and has the running gear “C”.

and what happens when you go to the boot menu with F8? or F7 Advanced Mode.

Otherwise, the plates are screwing around so that the OS sits on Slot 1
