Biology?

Hello, why is the plant's stomata at the bottom and not at the top? I've tried Googling it, but I can't seem to find it. Our teacher said something about the plant overheating or something, but I don't know why.
Can any of you perhaps help me?
Thanks!

Gas exchange is carried out via the gaps and water is discharged. The drying effect would be greater if they were on the top of the sheet (sun irradiation). In addition, water and oxygen are located in the underside of the leaf.
